Job summary

Brillio in Alameda, CA is seeking a React Native Developer to build and maintain consumer mobile features across iOS and Android.

You will own the RN codebase end-to-end, optimize performance, and work with native modules and platform bridges to deliver robust mobile experiences.

The role requires 5+ years in software engineering including 3+ years in React Native, plus hands-on testing, code reviews, and collaboration with Product and Design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering, with at least 3 years using React Native in production.
• Strong RN expertise: components, state management, navigation, performance optimization, and RN new architecture (JSI, Fabric, Turbo Modules).
• Experience with iOS/Android native layer fundamentals and debugging native modules.
• Experience with Redux or Zustand and offline-first design.
• Experience writing automated tests for React Native apps (unit/integration).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain consumer mobile features across iOS and Android using React Native.
• Own RN codebase end to end from architecture to testing and maintenance.
• Write clean, well-tested, performant RN code across devices and OS versions.
• Identify and resolve performance issues in the RN layer, including JS thread bottlenecks.
• Work with native modules and bridges to iOS/Android platform capabilities.
• Contribute to mobile testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
