Job summary

Oracle seeks a senior Network Engineer to support global OCI networking, focusing on RDMA cluster architectures for AI/ML/HPC workloads. You’ll design, deploy, and operate scalable fabrics across a global footprint, with emphasis on protocol mastery, automation, and incident response.

The role demands 6+ years in network engineering, cloud exposure, and strong scripting/automation skills. Expect on-call duties, collaboration across teams, and architecture leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related engineering field with 6+ years of Network Engineering experience or master’s with 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environment; RDMA Networking is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP); VxLAN and EVPN a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program/project managers to develop milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and execute network changes using existing procedures and tools; create new procedures as needed.
• Develop solutions to enable front line support for network failure conditions.
• Contribute to network solution and architecture design and roadmap development.
• Lead on-call rotations and post-event root cause analysis.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks for team and business units.
• Coordinate with networking automation services for tooling development and integration.
• Build dashboards and create alerts using telemetry data.
• Act as SME on software development projects for network automation and monitoring.
