Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks an Advanced Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Advanced RCIS) to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. The role requires expert knowledge of cardiovascular/peripheral vascular disease, aseptic technique, and the ability to scrub and assist physicians while monitoring hemodynamics and documenting events.

You will precept students and new staff, support a 24/7 call schedule, and help manage procedural supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular/peripheral vascular disease processes and procedures.
• Must scrub, assist physicians, monitor hemodynamics and document events.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots diagnostic and therapeutic modalities under physician direction.
• Manages and teaches use of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities (FFR, IMPELLA, IABP, Angiojet, Rotoblator, CSI).
• Attends staff meetings and trainings to enhance skills.
• Precepts new employees and students.
• Manages programs to assist in Cardiac Cath Lab operations.
• Displays leadership and adheres to Baystate policies.
• Performs as Flow coordinator and Procedure room lead.
