Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks an Advanced RCIS to lead and support a dynamic cardiac cath lab team. The role includes scrubbing, assisting physicians, monitoring critical hemodynamics, and coordinating supplies for complex procedures such as FFR, IMPELLA, IABP, and CSI.

The Advanced RCIS will precept staff, participate in 24/7 call coverage, and help drive safe, high-quality patient outcomes through aseptic technique and meticulous procedural support.

Qualifications

• RCIS requirements and responsibilities.
• Experience in Cath Lab preferred.
• Ability to operate diagnostic and therapeutic modalities under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• All requirements of RCIS.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots diagnostic and therapeutic equipment under physician direction.
• Manages and teaches use of diagnostic/therapeutic modalities (FFR, IMPELLA, IABP, Angiojet, Rotoblator, CSI).
• Attends staff meetings and conducts in-service trainings.
• Precepts new employees and students.
• Manages programs to support Cardiac Cath Lab operations.
• Demonstrates leadership and Baystate principles.
• Sets a positive example and supports department initiatives.
• Adheres to organizational policies.
• Performs duties as Flow coordinator and Procedure room lead.
