Job summary

PsychoGenics is a preclinical CRO focused on CNS and orphan disorders. We seek a Research Associate to support preclinical behavioral studies using rat and mouse models.

You will conduct behavioral assays, assist in dosing, and analyze data while adhering to SOPs and IACUC standards. Ideal candidates have a Master’s or higher in neuroscience with 2+ years of rodent experience, excellent organization, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in neuroscience or related field; recent PhD a plus.
• At least 2 years of rodent behavioral experience with mice and rats, preferably rats.
• Able to work in a group and independently.
• Excellent organization and troubleshooting skills.
• Comply with SOPs and IACUC, safety and QA protocols.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office; readiness for night/holiday/weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Execute behavioral pharmacology assays in rat/mouse models of pain and neurological disorders.
• Dose rats and mice via PO, IP, SC, and IV routes.
• Analyze preliminary experimental data.
• Adhere to SOPs and IACUC requirements.
• Communicate findings clearly to supervisor and team.
• Occasional weekend and holiday work as needed.
