Job summary

General Atomics is seeking a RAM Engineer in San Diego, CA within the Systems Engineering Integration department. You will provide RAM support across programs, conduct safety analyses and lead system requirements and verification activities for complex aerospace systems.

The role requires strong SysML/MBSE experience, DOORS usage, and the ability to interface with customers while leading a team. A security clearance is preferred, with the possibility to obtain/maintain a clearance as required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelors, masters or PhD in engineering or related technical discipline with progressive experience.
• Extensive technical expertise and ability to lead workloads to milestones with some project leadership.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts in an evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide RAM engineering support across programs through design, development, integration and test phases.
• Conduct safety analyses per MIL-STD-882E and develop safety assessment reports.
• Develop and present system requirements, ICDs and verification traces.
• Use DOORS to link requirements to tests and model elements in MBSE.
• Interface with customers during program shaping and requirements derivation activities.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations; lead IPTs and team interfaces.
