Fearless Solutions is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a full-stack Rails application. You will collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, with a strong emphasis on accessibility, testing, secure development, and code quality.

You will mentor peers, work across development, reliability, testing, and operations to deliver scalable, secure software while aligning stakeholders with project goals.

Competenze

• 5+ years maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing Rails apps.
• Strong object-oriented design and code-review skills.
• Experience with data modeling, multi-step forms, and third-party/government data integrations.
• Frontend with vanilla JS or Vue.js and WCAG accessibility.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and background jobs (GoodJob).
• RBAC and policy-based authorization (Pundit).
• Git/GitHub proficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack Rails features (complex forms, data integrations, dashboards).
• Write clean, well-tested code with strong OO design and service-layer Architecture.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and background jobs (GoodJob).
• Build accessible frontend experiences with ES6+ JS, ERB, and USWDS; conduct accessibility audits.
• Participate in thoughtful PR reviews and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with product/design to translate requirements into scalable solutions; surface risks and tradeoffs.
• Support Rails app via safe migrations, refactoring, and RSpect coverage without production disruption.
• Contribute to a secure, compliant development environment per federal/state contractor requirements.
