Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to become the technical backbone of our product. You will own the hardest PRs, raise the bar for the codebase, and eventually reduce the CEO's technical load. This is a hands‑on role, not a manager, with high trust across the product.

We are a bootstrapped, profitable team delivering real‑time SERP data across 100+ sources. You will contribute across billing, API, dashboard, and enterprise features, shaping the technical direction.

Qualifications

• Many years of Ruby on Rails experience and production Rails apps.
• Strong understanding of building scalable APIs and systems.
• Experience shipping features end‑to‑end with high quality.
• Hands‑on contributor with a high level of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardest PRs and drive complex features to production.
• Review peers' PRs, mentor through code reviews, and raise the bar.
• Build enterprise features, including billing, authentication, and APIs.
• Work on billing and payments integration with Stripe.
