TYLin in New York City is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Rail + Transit Structural Engineering team. You will deliver high-quality structural designs for major NYC-area transit programs, mentoring engineers and growing project ownership while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a strong background in steel, concrete, and masonry, with seismic/dynamic considerations and a NY PE license preferred.

Competenze

• Degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering, rail/transit focus preferred.
• Experience delivering designs for major transit agencies (MTA/Amtrak/LIRR/Metro-North).

Mansioni

• Provide senior-level design input for rail/transit facilities such as stations and service buildings.
• Act as a technical resource on project teams and resolve complex challenges.
• Produce/review calculations, drawings, specs, and reports to high standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to grow technical skills.
• Lead structural tasks/components with project managers for delivery.
• Perform seismic/dynamic analysis for steel, concrete, masonry systems.
• Support field investigations and feasibility studies for transit work.
• Collaborate with architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, and systems teams.
