Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Rail & Track Engineer to join our growing team. The role requires extensive experience with Class I railroad track design and a PE license.

We welcome candidates within a commutable distance to any Colliers office. The team supports rail freight, intercity and commuter rail, and industrial installations with design through construction. Collaborative, skilled professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
• 8 years of Class I railroad track design experience required.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads required.
• Knowledge of AREMA design codes a plus.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications.

Aufgaben

• Perform engineering calculations and create estimates.
• Research and apply code provisions to design.
• Create cost estimates for project alternatives.
• Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures and adapt existing designs.
• Interpret drawings from multiple disciplines for projects.
• Create 3D models.
• Document findings for the project manager.
• Submit concept designs and pass through approval processes.
• Lead the technical design and staff on rail projects and coordinate with disciplines.
• Assist in developing narratives, scope and fee for pursuits.
