Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Manager in New York, NY, to lead design and technical directions for traction electrification projects across North America and internationally. The role involves managing staff, planning work, and delivering engineering packages for multiple rail projects such as Streetcar and Heavy Rail.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in rail, strong leadership, and client-facing experience. Occasional travel and possible long-term field assignments are expected.

• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.

Responsibilities

• Design production and technical leadership for rail systems projects pertaining to traction electrification overhead contact systems (OCS).
• Manage staff, plan and schedule work, and coordinate design packages for multiple projects.
• Coordinate assembly of plans and specifications and provide construction support.
• Work location includes Home Office and travel to sites; long-term field assignments may be available.
