Job summary

Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager – Rail Systems to join our North American Infrastructure group in Los Angeles, CA. You will manage rail systems design or oversight teams on transit rail projects, coordinating with Hatch's global rail systems practice.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional engineering license (highly preferred).
• 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in engineering management roles.
• Full knowledge of US rail delivery standards (FTA & FRA), CENELEC, and ISO, and able to apply them on past projects.
• Experience delivering brownfield and greenfield transit rail systems programs over $50M in capital value with full lifecycle responsibility in a management role.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering management, systems engineering, asset management, operations management and quality management in railway/transit environments.
• Career foundation in rail systems design and systems engineering; familiarity with rail operations, stations, track and other civil aspects.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and technical integration leadership to large-scale rail infrastructure projects, steering a multidisciplinary team to deliver a complete, functional, safe and integrated rail systems design.
• Provide leadership, direction and technical guidance to staff, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure quality technical services and achievement of operating performance targets.
• Manage project production, changes, client relations, and financial management of tasks to ensure quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
• Assist in pursuits, client relationship building, developing technical practices, and recruiting staff in transit and rail systems areas.
