Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) seeks a skilled signal systems technician to oversee maintenance, testing, and repair of train signaling, track devices, and grade crossing equipment. You will lead crews, evaluate inspections, and ensure reliability and safety across the signal network.

The role demands an associate degree and 3+ years in electrified rail signal maintenance, with required certifications, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass DOT medical/drug tests.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited college or technical institute in a related field.
• Three years of experience in preventative and corrective signal maintenance on electrified rail transit.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Valid Driver's License Class-C and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days, clean driving record.
• Must pass DOT medical examination and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Proficient in PC software including MS Office.
• Ability to read technical manuals and communicate effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to work variable shifts and travel as required.

Responsabilités

• Oversees personnel maintaining DART's Signal Systems and assists in training.
• Evaluate inspections and preventative maintenance and assign work accordingly.
• Troubleshoot and repair/replace fiber optics network in the Signal System.
• Troubleshoot and repair/replace microprocessors and related equipment.
• Maintain electrical equipment from 12VDC to 480VAC and perform tests.
• Program microprocessor-based Signal System components and conduct complex tests.
• Monitor maintenance databases and work orders; manage spare parts inventory.
• Interface with city technicians, vendors, and Rail Operation Control.
• Ensure safe operation of signal equipment governing train movement.
