Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Inc is seeking a Traction Power Maintainer to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, repair and upkeep of traction power substations and overhead catenary systems in the Ways, Structures & Amenities Division.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, ability to read blueprints, use MS Office, and respond to emergencies. A technical degree or certification in electricity and valid CDL are preferred; DOT compliance and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair electrical power apparatus.
• Inspect overhead contact wire and related parts and devices.
• Respond to equipment failure and restore service.
• Read and interpret blueprints and maintenance manuals.
• Be available for 24-hour emergency response and by-pass procedures.
