Job summary

Arup is seeking a South California Rail Market Leader and Major Transport Projects Leader to shape the rail business, win work, and influence outcomes. You will develop strategic plans, lead talent initiatives, and collaborate with discipline leaders to drive capture and bidding efforts.

Role requires deep rail program experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and a commitment to Arup's values and sustainable project delivery. LA Metro experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 15 years relevant experience in rail.
• PM/DM on complex rail projects in Southern California (LA Metro).
• Alignment to Arup's values in leadership and collaboration.
• Creative problem-solving with focus on continual improvement and sustainable outcomes.
• Ability to mentor and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the annual rail business plan.
• Generate quality income and manage risk to deliver value for the firm.
• Strengthen existing and establish new strategic client relationships.
• Empower high-performing leaders to engage with clients and projects.
• Create an environment of learning and innovation to attract and retain talent.
• Coordinate with geography leadership on project selection, capture planning and bidding.
• Act as active Capture Manager and establish capture management workflow.
• Champion client relationship managers and support growth.
