Job summary

RailPros seeks a Senior Rail Engineer in California to lead design efforts for rail infrastructure from concept through construction. You will guide cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and coordinate with West Coast and National Rail Design groups to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Civil engineering degree (ABET/EAC), EIT, 10+ years of experience, and strong CAD tool proficiency (Microstation, InRoads, InRail, OpenRail). PE in CA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• EIT certification is required.
• 10+ years of prior experience in rail design or similar engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and designers to deliver PS&E from concept to final design.
• Direct and manage multiple rail design projects across teams.
• Present technical aspects in project meetings with clarity and professionalism.
• Oversee scopes, budgets, and schedules for project assignments.
• Collaborate with regional and national teams to share best practices.
