Job summary

Brown University Health at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, process images, and maintain patient safety. The role includes rotating shifts, mentoring staff, and contributing to quality assurance within a comprehensive academic health system.

The candidate must hold an AMA-approved radiologic technology credential, Rhode Island licensure, ARRT certification, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
Maintains a current license to work in Rhode Island and ARRT certification.
CPR certification from AHA, BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

Explain radiologic examinations to patients to reduce apprehension.
Schedule patients for radiologic examinations and ensure efficient patient flow.
Operate fixed radiographic equipment and transport portable radiographic units.
Process radiographic images using DR/CR and upload to PACS/RIS.
Maintain safety and comfort of patients per standards.
Rotate within department and shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Assist in training radiologic staff and students; participate in quality assurance and safety routines.
