Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Elizabeth City, NC to perform general diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. Eligible candidates hold an Associate degree or equivalent, ARRT certification, and may be grandfathered if trained at merger.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate.
• ARRT certification or grandfathered radiologic technologist training.
• Eligible for ARRT licensure or equivalent grandfathered training.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiologic imaging studies.
• Position patients for accurate anatomy/pathology demonstrations.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and radiology systems.
• Prepare patient room, equipment, and medications; maintain inventory.
• Explain procedures to patients and document results.
