Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri, seeks a Senior Radiology Service Technician to maintain and repair radiology equipment and software. You will document repairs, perform safety checks, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal uptime in a busy imaging environment.

The role includes mentoring junior technicians, coordinating with vendors, supporting clinical staff, and providing input for capital equipment planning and purchases. Day shift, on-site position with CoxHealth South.

Job Description

The Senior Radiology Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of radiology equipment and software. In addition, this individual will document repairs, perform safety checks and preventive measures, inspect, repair, install, calibrate and maintain various types of equipment with an emphasis on radiology or radiation treatment systems and software. This position will also be responsible for mentoring junior technicians, interfacing with vendors, supporting clinical staff, and providing assistance and expertise related to capital equipment purchases.

Education

• Required: Military Biomed, electronics, or associated technical training or Associates degree in associated technical field

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 5 years of current, relevant experience supporting multi-modality imaging equipment
• Required: Two (2) current manufacturer-level training certifications in applicable imaging modalities
• Preferred: MRI experience and manufacturer-level training
