In addition, this individual will document repairs, and perform safety checks and preventive measures. This position will be eligible for the on-call rotation.Education: Required: Associate’s Degree in a related field OR completion of Military Biomedical training program OR an Associate’s Degree or higher in an unrelated field and CBET certification OR 7 years Biomed equipment maintenance experience. Required: Completion of seven manufacturer-level seminars. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Technology Experience: Required: Five years Biomed experience Skills: • Use of common hand tools. • Use of PC and data entry skills. • Use of test equipment. • Knowledge of electronic theory and safety procedures. • Ability to utilize manufacturer’s service and operators manuals and other documentation • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair basic electronic and electromechanical equipment. • Self-directed, strong attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Strong ability to reason logically and critically. • Ability to maintain confidentiality with the highest degree of integrity and discretion. • Strong organizational skills including effective time management and ability to set/reset priorities accordingly and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. • Demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing to hospital staff, vendors, patients and patient’s families. • Exceptional customer relation skills.
