Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years continuous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Licensed/certified in California as Radiologic Technologist with Venipuncture and Fluoroscopy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patients for imaging procedures.
• Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Determines exposure factors based on patient characteristics.
• Operates imaging equipment and moves it into position.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy and special x-ray examinations where permitted.
• Prepares images for reading and reviews for quality control.
• Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs on radiologic equipment.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
