Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging under the Imaging Services Director. You will operate radiographic equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining radiation safety protocols.

The role requires minimum five years of continuous radiology experience, CA licenses including venipuncture per policy, and BLS. The position is full-time and on-site within Kaiser Permanente’s imaging department.

Qualifications

• Five years of continuous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• California radiologic licenses and basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Venipuncture certification as required for California practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Places immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Determines exposure factors based on patient and body area.
• Operates radiography equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Maintains image quality and proper labeling for radiologist review.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy in California where permitted.
• Completes forms and maintains records of work performed.
• Trains new hires and students as needed.
