Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates all x-ray equipment in the radiology department to produce images of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
• Positions and instructs patients prior to examination.
• Adjusts equipment and determines proper technique and exposure times for each image.
• Explains post-procedure instructions to patients after exam completion.
• Supports radiologists by assisting with specialized tests.
• Notifies radiologists of STAT exams within guidelines.
• Produces high-quality images to aid diagnosis.
• Prepares and performs exams efficiently and professionally.
• Operates complex radiographic equipment in the cardiac catheterization department.
• Selects technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs using ALARA standards.
• Leads protocol development efforts in the department.
