Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years in radiochemistry or related discipline.
• Experience with nuclear materials handling and radiochemical techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proven track record of research project management.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• US Citizenship required for ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, analysis of radiochemistry experiments and projects.
• Develop and apply radiochemical methods for characterization and processing of nuclear materials.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other professionals across disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and interns.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations.
• Support development of proposals for new research projects and funding opportunities.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all laboratory activities.
