DOE’s Environmental Management Laboratory, SRNL advances technologies that enhance national security, enable clean energy, and address complex legacy challenges across the DOE complex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to perform scientific research, engineering analysis, or experimental design.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to technical detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, engineering analysis, experimentation, or system design in support of nuclear and chemical processing initiatives.
• Develop, evaluate, and demonstrate technologies related to nuclear materials processing and waste treatment.
• Perform laboratory-scale experiments, modeling and simulation, material characterization, or process evaluations.
• Interpret and document results through technical reports and sponsor communications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver DOE mission-focused solutions.
