Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist for the Radiation Oncology department in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time role delivers prescribed radiotherapy under supervision and supports adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include patient education, treatment setup, safety oversight, and collaboration with physicians. Requires JCERT-accredited program, healthcare degree, AT least 4 years RTT experience, Texas license, and ARRT registration.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include JCERT accreditation and a healthcare degree.
• Experience: 4 years as RTT with Bachelor's or 6 years as RTT with Associate's.
• Licenses: Texas Medical Board licensure and ARRT registration; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex radiotherapy machines to deliver prescribed doses.
• Educate patients and assist with treatment planning and machine setup.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain records per policy.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff during procedures.
• Mentor Radiation Therapist I and supervise students in the program.
• Contribute to QA, calibration, and commissioning activities as needed.
