Qualifications

• Graduate of JCERT accredited program in Radiation Therapy or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field or Associate's Degree in a healthcare field
• 4 years of progressive RTT experience with Bachelor's OR 6 years at RTT I with Associate's

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of complex treatment machines to deliver prescribed treatment dose.
• Prepares and educates patients for radiotherapy; administers complex radiotherapy treatment and monitors patient separation.
• Prepares treatment room and fabricates immobilization/treatment devices.
• Coordinates patient scheduling and retrieval of patient records.
• Ensures radiation safety for patients and personnel.
• Tracks and records clinical research data per policies.
• Participates in program policy development and QA methods.
• Consults with supervisor or physician concerning treatment.
• May perform dosimetry and treatment plan calculations.
• Supports commissioning, calibration, QA, and measurements.
• Participates in call duties for clinical needs.
• Engages in teaching and evaluating students in the Radiation Therapy program.
• Performs orientation of new employees.
• Demonstrates leadership in scheduling and machine coverage.

Education

JCERT accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent
