Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist to join the Radiation Oncology team in Baltimore. The role involves localizing tumors, participating in treatment planning, and delivering ionizing radiation therapy while serving as the primary liaison between patients and the radiation team.

You will ensure patient safety, participate in weekly quality assurance reviews, and mentor Radiation Therapy students and new staff as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist.
• Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in all modalities as a radiation therapist.
• Three (3) years’ experience within a comprehensive and cancer center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in localizing tumors, participate in treatment planning and delivering Ionizing radiation therapy.
• Act as primary liaison between patients and radiation team.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Weekly chart review for quality assurance.
• Train Radiation Therapy students and new staff.

Education

B.S. degree

Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy

State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist

3–5 years clinical experience in all modalities as a radiation therapist

3 years experience in a comprehensive cancer center
