Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality treatments at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. You will operate CT simulators and linear accelerators within a patient-centered oncology team.

This role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and 3+ years of clinical experience. A accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program graduate is required; bachelor's degree preferred. Competitive benefits and a collaborative environment await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; related field is acceptable.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program is required/strongly preferred.
• ARRT certification required; state licensure/certification as Medical Radiation Technologist required.
• Minimum of three years of clinical Radiation Therapist experience.
• Experience with multiple treatment modalities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and treatment plans prior to each session.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient positioning for precise delivery.
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators, CT simulators, dosimetry, and treatment verification systems.
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Educate patients on procedures and potential side effects.
• Administer contrast media and assist with simulation and planning procedures as needed.
• Maintain complete treatment documentation, billing, and QA data.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns to leadership.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while protecting patient privacy and comfort.
• Demonstrate flexibility to support department needs, including weekends/holidays as required.

Multimodal therapy experience

Education

• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification requiredCurrent state licensure/certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist required
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist through an accredited radiation therapy program required
• Experience delivering radiation therapy across multiple treatment modalities preferred
