Job summary

Tidelands Health in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality radiation therapy in accordance with physician prescriptions and departmental protocols.

You will perform complex CT simulations, image-guided procedures, and treat patients with expert clinical judgment while mentoring junior staff and coordinating daily workflow with the oncology team.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy is required.
  • Minimum four years' experience in radiation therapy is required.
  • Licensure: Radiation Therapist - SC Radiation Quality Standards Association; ARRT Radiography; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced radiation therapy treatments per physician prescriptions and protocols.
  • Perform complex CT simulations and image-guided procedures.
  • Mentor and support radiation therapy staff and students.
  • Coordinate daily clinical workflow with department leadership and scheduling.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, safety checks, and incident prevention.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses and the care team.

This role performs complex simulation and treatment procedures using advanced linear accelerator and imaging technology while ensuring treatments are administered in accordance with the radiation oncologist's prescription, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards.In addition to direct patient care, the Senior Radiation Therapist serves as a clinical resource for radiation therapy staff, supports workflow coordination, assists with quality assurance and safety practices, and promotes best practices in patient positioning, immobilization, documentation, and treatment delivery.
