Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior System Engineer to support radar performance analysis for missile defense flight tests. You will analyze radar data, develop verification strategies, and work in Hardware-in-the-Loop environments to ensure sensor readiness.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, with MATLAB/Python/C/C++ and Linux skills. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver technical findings to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with scripting and/or software development (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Linux/Red).
• Experience with Systems engineering (example integration, verification and/or system testing).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute radar performance analysis activities supporting live missile defense flight tests.
• Analyze radar measurement data collected during flight test events to characterize detection, tracking, and performance.
• Evaluate time-senstive radar outputs, including track timelines and measurement accuracy, for compliance with requirements.
• Perform pre-mission analysis using engineering tools and flight-test simulations to predict radar behavior.
• Produce technical artifacts including performance reports and data packages for leadership and stakeholders.
• Support readiness reviews and mission execution by presenting risk assessments and post-test plans.
• Maintain configuration control of analysis procedures, data pipelines, and scripts.
