Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Systems Engineer – Radar Systems to lead a multidisciplinary team within Systems Engineering. The role involves delivering requirements and artifacts on schedule and cost, with authority to guide engineering decisions impacting new business and program performance.

This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK; Rancho Bernardo, CA; or Melbourne, FL, and requires collaboration across disciplines to integrate capabilities for Modernization and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline; 14+ years experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in STEM discipline; 2+ years experience in Systems Engineering.
  • PhD in STEM discipline; 6+ years experience in Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
  • Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate with program, functional and subsystem leads to ensure alignment across IPTs.
  • Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts with proper configuration management.
  • Manage EVMS Control Accounts and report performance against plans.
  • Ensure technical quality and adherence to program policies and standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
