Job summary

Smart Care is seeking a Rack Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair large-scale rack refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings, including supermarkets and warehouses.

The role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and working with refrigerants safely to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. On-call duties nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with rack refrigeration systems (commercial/industrial).
• EPA Certification required for handling refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration rack systems incl. compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance for optimal performance.
• Work with various refrigerants (e.g., R-22, R-404A, CO2) safely and efficiently.
• Respond to service calls with timely repairs and minimal downtime.
• Provide customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
