Job summary

Perrigo seeks an R&D Technical Services Senior Specialist to lead scale-up and industrialization of new infant formula powders and liquids. You will collaborate across Product Development, Pilot Plant, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth transfers from development to commercial production and support first production runs with troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
• Experience in product development, process development, or technical services in food/dairy/nutrition industries.
• Familiarity with dairy ingredients; thermal processes (pasteurization, evaporation, aseptic processing, spray drying).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and DOE; experience with JMP or Minitab and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization and scale-up of infant formula powders and liquids in partnership with Product Development and Pilot Plant.
• Coordinate with Development, Pilot Plant, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to transfer from development to production.
• Support first runs, trials, and commercialization through oversight and troubleshooting.
• Manage change controls, formulations, guidelines, and risk assessments for launches and changes.
• Review quality and nutrient data for specs and regulatory compliance; support audits.
• Lead feasibility studies, equipment trials, and process validation; contribute to capital projects.
• Collaborate with sites to address process issues, downtime, and losses; implement root cause actions.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Evaluate new processes and technologies for manufacturing capabilities.
