Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a creative and motivated Systems Engineer (R&D S&E, Systems Engineering) to join Telemetry Engineering development programs in Albuquerque/Livermore. You will define requirements, manage traceability, and shape verification strategies across Telemetry systems and subsystems.

The role involves collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams, trade space analyses, risk management, and leading change-control efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Telemetry customers and stakeholders to create and manage telemetry requirements.
• Verify complex requirements through analysis, environmental testing, and flight testing.
• Map Telemetry System and subsystem requirements to validation and verification activities.
• Assess how changes affect cost, schedule, and performance across the lifecycle.
• Lead as a member on change control boards.
• Evaluate Telemetry functionality and document test planning and results.
• Guide Telemetry engineers and project managers through key milestones using Sandia procedures.
