Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an R&D S&E Electronics Engineer in Livermore, CA to design, test, and verify PWBs/PCBs within the Telemetry team. You will work across hardware and systems teams, performing bench and system-level testing, and coordinating with vendors to bring designs to life.

The role requires travel up to 25% and onsite work at Livermore 100% of the time. DOE Q-level clearance is required; master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering/science with research experience.
• DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent DoD clearance needed.

Responsibilities

• Design schematics and optimize layouts; finalize designs with ECAD.
• Present designs at schematic and peer reviews.
• Write test plans and test reports.
• Modeling and simulations to validate designs.
• Develop electrical interface requirements with systems teams.
• Coordinate with mechanical and firmware teams.
• Support lab testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Procure PWBs/PCBs with vendors; manage documentation.
