Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Food Scientist to drive product development in healthy beverages and snacks, with strong dairy science foundations and a passion for innovation. You will lead projects from concept to commercialization, collaborate with plant teams, and ensure GMP and safety standards across facilities.

The role emphasizes development of new food platforms beyond yogurt, applying advanced analytical methods and cross-functional teamwork to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Food/Dairy Science or related life science. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of food industry experience in dairy beverages required; milk filtration and aseptic processing knowledge preferred.
• Extensive ingredients, flavor development, and product processing and stability knowledge.
• Experience leading product development projects from timeline to launch and scale.
• Familiar with basic research tools and statistical analysis.
• Able to work in ambiguous environments and build from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D plans and strategies for new food platforms beyond yogurt.
• Design experiments, maintain records, analyze data, and summarize results.
• Plan and carry out development in lab and pilot scale; lead tests for new products.
• Develop new analytical measurements for new product designs and processing tech.
• Manage projects focusing on product development, process, and product care.
• Lead projects from conceptualization to commercialization, including budget and timing.
• Communicate project requirements and status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with plant processing teams to run trials and start-up operations.
• Follow safety and GMP procedures across facilities.
