Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care seeks a Sr. Project Manager to drive design and commercialization of key products, coordinating engineering, marketing, manufacturing, RA/QA, and product management to schedule projects and launch on time.

You will lead the Tandem Product Commercialization Process and governance, contributing to PMO-led continuous improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, resource planning, and adherence to regulatory requirements while advancing diabetes

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate cross-functional matrix environments and influence across functions.
• Effective communication with leadership to secure resources and manage scope.
• Maintain focus on deadlines in fast-paced, agile settings.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles from roadmap to post-launch.
• Lead agile ceremonies and measure core product metrics.
• Proficient in using PM tools for planning and collaboration.
• Assess change and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Represent the company professionally at external events while protecting confidential information.
• Drive continuous improvement in product development processes and practices.
• Apply a foundational understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, SaaS, BI, and engineering basics.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management expertise and leadership to a multi-functional core team from Concept through Commercialization following Tandem’s standard process.
• Plans and directs all aspects of software/systems projects, develops cost analysis, schedules, budgets, and tracks progress.
• Works with Product Management, Program Managers, and heads to resolve resource issues and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Ensures efficient transfer of product from R&D to manufacturing and external marketing.
• Leads/process improvements related to product development, resource management, design controls, and cycle time optimization.
• Communicates and presents regular project status updates to executive leadership and governance meetings.
• Ensures compliance with privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
