Job summary

SAS in Cary, NC is seeking aSenior R&D Program Manager to lead cross-functional product security programs and governance. You will partner with Product Security Architects, engineering, product management, and leadership to drive secure product delivery and align roadmaps across domestic and international teams.

You will translate complex security concepts into actionable plans, manage resources, and report on progress to executives, while driving continuous improvement in security posture.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in a technical project management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and organizational abilities.
• Excellent decision-making ability.
• Excellent risk management skills.
• An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
• Experience with the Agile methodology.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI-assisted analytics, workflow automation, and large language models).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional product security programs across the Foundation Division.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Security, and Product Management to define priorities and roadmaps.
• Drive planning, execution and delivery of security-focused projects across multiple teams.
• Facilitate communication, risk management and issue resolution among stakeholders.
• Assess resource needs, manage program capacity across domestic and international teams.
• Establish and maintain program governance, roadmaps, risk registers and reporting.
• Coordinate with Product Security, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Cloud Operations and other stakeholders.
• Leverage program management best practices to improve security delivery & predictability.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans for technical and executive audiences.
