Job summary

Arrow International, Inc. is seeking a Senior R&D Machinery Systems Engineer in Brunswick, Ohio to design and deliver custom, non-commercial process machinery that enhances our manufacturing capability.

You will lead the full machine development lifecycle, create robust SolidWorks models, and work across Mechanical, Process, Automation, Production, Maintenance, and Operations to implement practical solutions on-site.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• M.S. degree preferred for advanced knowledge.
• 7+ years of industrial machinery design experience.
• Experience taking machines from concept to production commissioning.
• SolidWorks proficiency and BOM/documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end machine development from concept through commissioning.
• Develop robust 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
• Engineer continuous-feed systems for web handling, tension control, and registration precision.
• Generate fabrication drawings, BOMs, and procurement packages for external fabrication partners.
• Evaluate commercial machinery for integration within Arrow’s manufacturing ecosystem.
• Support patent and IP documentation for innovative mechanisms and designs.
• Mentor engineers and translate cross-functional needs into implementable solutions.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

M.S. preferred
