Job summary

Dunaway in Canfield, OH is seeking a mid- to senior-level Mechanical Engineer specialized in industrial machine design. You will design extrusion-related equipment using 3D modeling (SolidWorks), perform FEA, and lead integration of new machinery into manufacturing processes to achieve high reliability.

You will direct design efforts for extrusion presses, billet loaders, and handling systems, coordinate with the shop floor and field services, and travel 10–15% as needed to support installations

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial machinery and equipment design.
• Ability to schedule jobs through shop floor to keep machinists busy.
• Experience generating 2D drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of FEA analysis.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design extrusion presses and related equipment using 3D modeling.
• Reverse engineer equipment for repairs or enhancements.
• Collaborate with field services to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Coordinate movement and installation of equipment and systems.
• Assist with quoting jobs.
