Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a driven R&D Hardware Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team delivering high-consequence cryptographic hardware for national security missions. You will work with NSA, KCNSC, and other stakeholders to ensure qualification, testing, and security compliance, including TEMPEST and EMI/EMC considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience.
• Active US DOE-Q or DoD TS security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Sigma 15 access.

Responsibilities

• Lead a hardware team of electrical and mechanical engineers to meet programmatic and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with NSA to demonstrate compliance with security-related requirements.
• Oversee hardware characterization, testing, and NSA certification activities.
• Coordinate qualification builds and manufacturing line qualification with KCNSC Global Security.
• Own and manage project and NSA documentation.
