Medtronic is seeking an Early-Stage R&D Engineer to drive front‑end innovation for peripheral vascular technologies, focusing on carotid artery devices and related projects. You will develop concepts, assess feasibility, and prototype catheter‑based systems in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with collaboration across marketing, strategy, and clinical teams.

The role supports flexible onsite/remote work for U.S. candidates, with potential transitions to full‑time onsite as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s with 2 years OR PhD with 0 years
• For degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies U.S. requirements is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead early‑stage engineering activities for peripheral arterial devices
• Translate clinical needs into design inputs and early system requirements
• Generate, evaluate, and iterate device concepts
• Design and develop early prototypes of catheter‑based systems
• Plan, execute, and document benchtop feasibility testing in flow loops/models
• Document design activities in accordance with design control requirements
• Support regulatory, quality, and marketing stakeholders to align with workflows
