Job summary

CompoSecure is seeking an R&D Engineer to develop new products, components and production processes. The role includes documenting processes, creating technical drawings, and training staff on new methods.

The engineer will work on-site in Somerset, NJ with a focus on innovative consumer products and process improvement. Required are at least 3 years of experience, a BS/BEng in EE, and strong CAD/3D modeling, with RFID experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
• BS or BEng in Electrical Engineering; MS is a plus.
• Applied electrical engineering experience especially RFID.
• Circuit design and prototyping experience.
• Electronic circuit footprint miniaturization capability.
• CAD skills including 3D modeling.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Proactive problem solving and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute product development plans for new products.
• Design tests and analyze results to validate concepts.
• Document development for handover to production.
• Develop new processes and manufacturing techniques.
• Industrialize prototype processes for manufacturing readiness.
• Assist with invention disclosures and patent prep.
