American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Research and Development Engineer in Cinnaminson, NJ, to drive powder product development for ferrous materials, additives and coating technology. Plan and interpret experiments, interfacing with customers, suppliers, marketing and manufacturing to achieve program goals.

The role requires a B.S. in Materials Science or related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience; Masters/PhD preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or engineering related field.
• 3+ years of work experience preferred.
• Experience in particulate materials, metallurgy, powder process and product engineering preferred.
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and proactive leadership.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, execute and interpret experiments to complete research deliverables.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, marketing, and manufacturing departments to realize program goals.
• Manage assigned work force, recognize personal strengths, and recommend potential improvements.
• Become the in-house expert/consultant to other departments in the areas of metal powder.
