Job summary

CompoSecure, L.L.C. in Somerset, NJ, is seeking an R&D Engineer to develop new products, components, and production processes for consumer payment card technologies. The role focuses on documenting processes, creating technical drawings, and training teams on new methods.

This position emphasizes technical creativity, prototype design, testing, and process industrialization to enable manufacturing. Candidates should have BS/BEng in electrical engineering (MS preferred) and hands-on circuit

Qualifications

• BS or BEng required; MS preferred (Electrical Engineering a plus).
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering; RFID experience preferred.
• Circuit design and prototyping; miniaturization of circuit footprints.
• CAD skills including 3D modeling; strong documentation and communication.
• Willingness to learn payment card business and adjacent fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products, components, and production processes for manufacturing.
• Document processes and create technical drawings; train teams on new methods.
• Create prototypes and design tests; analyze results to finalize viable products.
• Industrialize prototype processes for manufacturing; prepare invention disclosures for patents.
• Identify new materials and processes to improve existing product lines.
