Saint-Gobain is seeking a Sr. Research Engineer I to join our Commercial Building & Infrastructure R&D team in Wilmington, MA.

You will lead development and optimization of advanced construction materials and waterproofing technologies, working from concept to commercialization. The role involves hands-on lab work, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to IP development while driving innovation and customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial research or product development.
• Experience researching or evaluating polymer-based materials.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D projects focused on new product development and improvement.
• Design, conduct, and analyze lab and field tests to evaluate material performance.
• Develop formulations, technologies, and testing methods to support growth.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Technical Service, and Operations.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations.
