Job summary

Saint-Gobain Innovation Hub North America seeks an experienced Senior Research Technician to join our ENC team. The role provides advanced technical support for development, testing, and validation of polymer, composite, and engineered components while mentoring junior technicians.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing to produce high-quality data for product development, technology transfer, and customer-focused innovation programs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in engineering, technical, or science field with 4–7 years of experience.
• Hands-on R&D lab operations, materials testing, and prototype fabrication experience.
• Proficient CAD design, fixture development, and maintenance/troubleshooting of lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute lab tests (tribology, mechanical, thermal) and support product development.
• Design, fabricate, modify fixtures and prototypes using CAD and workshop tools.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab and pilot-scale equipment for reliability and safety.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and maintain lab records.
• Support proto fabrication, technology transfer, and manufacturing trials.
• Lead safety, maintenance, inventory, and continuous improvement with mentoring.
