Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer III to lead development and industrialization of advanced composite materials and manufacturing technologies at the Renton site. You will drive DoE studies, partner with cross-functional teams, and guide technology maturation from lab to production.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required or equivalent experience in R&D/manufacturing environments.
• 10+ years of R&D experience in manufacturing or related engineering field.
• Experience in development of composite materials and their constituents.
• Hands-on familiarity with composite fabrication techniques such as OOA, MOP, Autoclave, RTM/VARTM.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple R&D projects with a focus on advanced materials development, technology maturation, and budget management.
• Develop and optimize composite manufacturing processes and material qualification activities.
• Perform material characterization and statistical analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up new materials to production.
