Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque is seeking an experienced R&D Electrical Engineer to join the W80-4/W80-5 JTA Systems Engineering Team. The role focuses on integrating JTA electrical components, defining system requirements, and supporting ground and flight tests to validate weapon-like system performance.

The candidate will work with DoD/NNSA partners, travel up to 25%, and must be able to work onsite 100% of the time in a high-security environment. DOE clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five or more years of directly relevant experience.
• Active US DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent DOD Top Secret level clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Integrate JTA electrical components and subsystems; develop system design definitions and requirements documents.
• Support planning and execution of lab/ground and flight tests; operate ground station equipment and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Analyze test data and support decision making for proceeding with tests.
• Perform flight line and test range operations for JTA flight tests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across NSE to address issues and improve designs.
